Meet Ceo/executive director

​Lisa M. Smith-Hicks, Executive Director
Lisa started the Outreach Involvement Center in May of 2013 in honor of her father, Horace Smith, Jr., who encouraged her to become more involved with the youth in their community. Her passion for improving the lives of teens and pre-teens began while pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice.  Working as a Correctional Officer then called her to her personal mission of reaching out to kids before they get into trouble with the law.  Lisa has also worked as an Activities Director and a Certified Nursing Assistant, and she is the mother of one very active daughter and two dedicated sons!  She believes all of her life experiences have led her, and prepared her, for her calling to impact the lives of young people in a positive and meaningful way. Instead of complaining about what was going on inside our communities Lisa decided to become a part of the solution.
